Sintra/PVC board, epoxy clay, magnets, rhinestones, wool, rayon cord, silver bell, and acrylic paint.
Inside the scabbard is a plexiglass blade and LED light, so that in the future I can attach iridescent cellophane flames for the sparkly released-form blade. The sword can be unsheathed and is held in place by magnets, and the mouth can be opened for "解き放つ!" purposes by sliding the pommel up. This is a prop I've wanted to make for years, and I'm super happy with it~
I'll try to replace this with a better picture at some future point when I have a light box and spare time, rushing to finish the rest of the costume for Otakon at the moment @___@
